| Description of the problem | I have scented a strong, and worsening, odor of gasoline in vehicle for quite a while. I removed back seat and fuel tank access panels and inspected the fuel pumps. Drivers side had raw gasoline pooled on 2124703294 fuel filter assembly. I cleaned the fuel up and drove the car with 1/4 tank of fuel and checked and found fresh fuel leaking. I cleaned and looked closely and found the source of the leak (it was still oozing out after vehicle was parked for some time.) the little pipe that the fuel pressure sensor on non-amg vehicles plugs into has a hole in it. I have attached pictures of this safety hazard. |
